The Latin-SEQ+ study<\/strong><\/u><\/a> has highlighted a need for greater genetic counselling support across Latin America to help deliver genomic medicine effectively.<\/p>\n

Based on interviews with patients and healthcare professionals, we have developed practical resources to support informed decision-making and consent for genetic testing. Clinicians also identified a need for guidance on when genetic testing should be considered in children.<\/p>\n<\/div>

We have developed a toolkit \u201cMy genes my choice\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0to help patients and families understand genetic testing, consider the questions that are important to them, and discuss these with their healthcare professionals and relatives before making a decision.<\/p>\n<\/div>

We have developed a poster for healthcare professionals providing a practical checklist of the information patients should receive before being offered a genetic test.<\/p>\n<\/div>
